The water coming into your home affects more than what you drink. It touches your skin and hair, washes your clothes and dishes, runs through your water heater and plumbing fixtures, and is used for cooking, cleaning and bathing every day.
Horizon West Plumbing & Gas is proud to be an Authorized Puronics® Dealer, providing professionally installed whole-home water filtration and water softening solutions for homeowners throughout Horizon West, Winter Garden, Windermere and surrounding Central Florida communities.
Our goal isn't to sell you a one-size-fits-all system. We start by evaluating your home's water and your family's needs, then recommend the right solution.
Municipal water is treated to meet public health standards before it reaches your home, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will look, smell, taste or feel the way you want it to.
Depending on your water supply, you may notice:
A properly selected whole-home water treatment system can address the specific water-quality concerns in your home — at the point where water enters your plumbing system.
That means better-quality water isn't limited to one faucet. It's available throughout your home.
There's an important difference between buying water-treatment equipment and having a system designed and installed by a licensed plumbing company.
At Horizon West Plumbing & Gas, water treatment is part of what we do — plumbing is our business.
Our team understands your home's entire plumbing system, including water pressure, pipe sizing, water heaters, valves, drainage requirements and proper installation practices.
When we install your Puronics® system, you're not left searching for another company when you need plumbing service.
One local company. One team you can call.
They perform different jobs. A water softener primarily addresses hardness minerals, while filtration systems are designed to reduce specific substances, tastes or odors. Some Puronics systems combine both technologies into one whole-home treatment system.
When installed at the home's main water supply, a whole-home system treats water before it is distributed to the home's plumbing fixtures.
Select Puronics Chlorostatic® systems are specifically designed to reduce chlorine and chloramine. For example, Puronics Hydronex® iGen® C systems are WQA Certified according to NSF/ANSI 42 for reduction of chlorine, chlorine taste and chlorine odor, in addition to other certifications.
Select Puronics systems combine filtration with water softening. The appropriate equipment depends on your home's water conditions and the results you're trying to achieve.
Select Puronics whole-home systems have been independently tested and certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA) to applicable NSF/ANSI standards. Certification varies by product and model, which is one reason we'll help you choose the appropriate system for your home.
That's exactly what the consultation is for. Rather than asking you to choose equipment from a website, we'll evaluate your water and explain which system we recommend and why.
